Two suggestions for Magnatrac attachments
A suggestion for the steel Grouser shoes – I would suggest milling off the ends at an angle (like 45 degrees) or rounding them – I’ve learned that the 90 degree ends tend to pull vines, weeds, and trash into the tracks, and rounding or angling them would not reduce traction that much (and it might make the grousers a bit easier on a lawn or grass). I’ve made a couple of videos of using my RS1000, and you can see the corners of the grousers catching stuff and pulling it into the tracks. If they were somewhat rounded or angled in, they wouldn’t catch nearly as much as they do now.
A second suggestion – make a root rake attachment for the dozer blade. There are pictures and videos available of what I’m talking about – it adds strong “teeth” for ripping out weeds and brush, and can be swung up out of the way or to help drop off the brush and weeds. I’m going to try to roll my own, but I think it would be a hot seller, especially when people see what it can do!
Finally – I’d add something to your video about the rake attachment. I made one, and it REALLY works!
