Q: How easy is it to switch rear attachments on a MAGNATRAC RS1000 or a MINI-DOZER MD196K?
A: Very simple! Whether you order a manual rear hitch or a RS196K or RS1000 or a hydraulic rear hitch on a RS1000, both switches are as simple as can be. In a nutshell, we use a two bolt system for switching out attachments. Shown above is our HA14-Hitch Adapter along with our HRH35-Hydraulic Rear Hitch. (2 in. rec. ball hitch not included). Simply loosen the (2) nuts on the bottom of hydraulic rear hitch. Pull up on the (2) bolts that secure the hitch adapter to hitch. Remove hitch adapter and attach a TR23-Three Shank Ripper, or third party garden attachments like a pull behind tiller, garden cart, etc. to the rear hitch. Re-insert the (2) bolts, connect the nuts back on the bottom and tighten. That’s it! For even more convenience, some customers use pins without nuts on the bottom. We use bolts and nuts as it is a more secure mounting system. In the center of the rear hitch is a single pin mounting pin to attach third party implements like garden carts, pull behind tillers, rear blades, etc.
Q: How easy is it to switch front attachments on a MAGNATRAC RS1000 or a MINI-DOZER MD196K?
A: Generally speaking, it’s just like the rear hitch, except that the front hitch does not offer a single bolt/pin option. To switch out a bucket with a dozer/snow blade. Loosen the (2) nuts on the bottom of the front hitch. Pull up on the (2) bolts that secure the bucket to hitch. Remove bucket and attach blade to the front hitch. Re-insert the (2) bolts, connect the nuts back on the bottom and tighten. That’s it! For even more convenience, some customers use pins without nuts on the bottom. We use bolts and nuts as it is a more secure mounting system.
