The process isn’t real difficult, I would say it takes approx. 30 minutes to make the switch. Both the backhoe and the three point hitch mount directly to the back of the tractor. So, only one can be on the tractor at a time. We use welded nuts on the inside of the tractor frame, so basically you are just installing a few bolts.
The easiest way to remove the backhoe is to put the stabilizer arms down and the bucket down and treat it like a “tripod”. Then you can remove the backhoe bolts and pull the tractor forward a few inches. We recommend that you put a few blocks underneath the backhoe frame, to keep it at the height you want for future re-attaching. Now you can disconnect the 2 backhoe hoses.
Next, you can attach the three point hitch to the rear of the tractor, using many of the same bolts from the backhoe. Tighten with your favorite impact or ratchet driver, and connect a few hoses and your all set. This is a general run-down only, please make sure to use all Struck manuals for complete instructions.
